Why Don’t You Look Into Islam? The Moment His Real Argument Finally Came Out

“Why Don’t You Look Into Islam?” — The Moment His Real Argument Finally Came Out

I walked into Starbucks thinking the conversation from last time was behind us.

But the same atheist man who challenged me before approached me again, clearly unsatisfied with how our last debate ended. He went right back to the same line:

“The Bible is flawed. The sign of the cross isn’t in the Bible. Jesus never taught it.”

He said it with confidence, but I could tell he was hoping I wouldn’t have an answer.

I did — but I wasn’t as sharp as I wanted to be in the moment. I gave him the right Scriptures, but I didn’t have time to unpack them fully. And he sensed that.

That’s when the real reason for his challenge finally slipped out.

He looked at me and said:

“Why don’t you look into Islam instead?”

And suddenly everything made sense.

This wasn’t about the sign of the cross.

This wasn’t about biblical “flaws.”

This was about trying to pull me away from Christianity.

But he didn’t expect the answer I gave him.

---

1. I Refused to Let Him Set the Terms

I stayed calm and told him:

“Islam and Christianity are two different religions.

You can’t tell me what to follow, and I can’t tell you what to follow.

But since you asked, I’ll answer.”

That immediately shifted the power dynamic.

He wasn’t the judge anymore — just a man asking a question.

---

2. I Used His Own Book, Not Mine

Instead of quoting the Bible, I asked him a simple question:

“What does the Qur’an say about Jesus?

Is He alive?”

He paused, then admitted:

“Yes. The Qur’an says Jesus didn’t die on the cross but was taken into heaven.”

Exactly.

Islam teaches:

• Jesus was not killed

• Jesus was taken up alive

• Jesus will return at the end of time

So I asked him:

“Do you agree with that?”

He nodded.

He had no choice — it’s in his own scripture.

---

3. Then I Asked the Question He Wasn’t Ready For

I followed with:

“Where is Muhammad?”

He answered honestly:

“He’s dead.”

And that’s when I delivered the point that left him speechless:

“If one is alive and one is dead, who would you follow?

The one who is alive and will return, or the one buried in the ground?”

I didn’t insult Muhammad.

I didn’t attack Islam.

I simply used the logic of his own belief system.

And he had no comeback.

4. Why This Matters

People often challenge Christianity with surface‑level objections:

• “The Bible is flawed.”

• “The sign of the cross isn’t in Scripture.”

• “Jesus didn’t teach that.”

But once those arguments fall apart, the real motive comes out.

In this case, it wasn’t about the Bible at all.

It was about trying to steer me toward another religion.

But here’s the truth:

If the Qur’an itself says Jesus is alive, taken into heaven, and returning at the end of time —

and Muhammad is dead and not returning —

then even by Islamic standards, Jesus holds the higher position.

That’s not my opinion.

That’s their scripture.

5. I Left Him Flabbergasted

He expected me to be shaken.

He expected me to be unsure.

He expected me to be intimidated.

Instead, he walked away stunned — not because I attacked him, but because I answered him with calm, simple logic he couldn’t escape.

And next time he approaches me, I’ll be ready.
